40 Days For Life to Start September 28

This year, the 40 Days for Life Campaign runs from Wednesday, September 28 through Sunday, November 6. We hope you will join us again in praying and fasting during this peaceful prayer vigil for life throughout these 40 days.

The Norwich 40 Days For Life Campaign will begin with a Vigil Mass at the Cathedral of St. Patrick on Tuesday, September 28, at 6:30 p.m. Bishop Michael R. Cote will be the principal celebrant and homilist.

This year we are also inviting parishes to promote pro-life parish prayer vigils at their churches, and we also encourage participation in parish and diocesan efforts to help mothers in need by your prayers and support. Look for upcoming announcements as your parish rolls out its pro-life plans.

Please contact the Norwich 40 Days For Life Team at (860) 875-5770 or 40DaysNorwich@gmail.com with any questions.

Thank you and may God bless you, your family, and your future children and grandchildren.

                                       Amen.

Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, the Mass provided time for prayer and the chance to donate baby items for the Connecticut Pregnancy Resource Centers. Mary, Gate of Heaven Parish hosted a Mass for Life on Jan. 20 at St. Rober...

As we approach Lent, please allow me to speak to all who carry the unbearable sadness and guilt of an abortion experience. Be assured that Jesus keeps on loving you, no matter what. The blessed ashes distributed on our foreheads on Ash Wednesday remind us that we are all sinners; broken, imperfect, yet very precious in the eyes of God and so well loved by Him. The ashes are both a reminder of our need for repentance and the graces that flow from our Lord’s death and resurrection. Some stay away from the Church because they fear judgment of past sins. Yet as Pope Franc...
