Saint Bernard Student Sews Face Masks for Hospitals

Katelyn Geren, a freshman at Saint Bernard School, is helping the local community by sewing masks for hospitals, nursing homes and organizations in need.

Katelyn, a Ledyard resident, sews the masks in between her studies. Each mask takes about 10 minutes to create, she says.

“I have fallen into a good routine with online school, so I’ve had a bit of time and figured I could be useful,” she says. “My mom has been a huge help, I have a friend doing it as well, and even my siblings have pitched in!”
