Busy Weekend for Pro-Life Activities

There are a number of Pro-Life activities going on throughout the state this weekend.

The monthly Diocesan Pro-Life Mass will take place at the Cathedral of St. Patrick in Norwich
on Saturday, November 2 at 8:30 A.M.

Please join our celebrant Fr. Ray Introvigne at Mass as we pray to end abortion and for the healing for those who have had an abortion. Following the Mass, the Rosary will be prayed both at the Cathedral and Planned Parenthood. A brunch in the Cathedral Hall will follow the Rosary this month.

This weekend concludes the 40 Days for Life campaign.

"We have had great turnouts this year," said Fr. Brian Maxwell in regards to the Peaceful Vigil held at the Planned Parenthood abortion business at 12 Case Street in Norwich.

Pictured here are families from St. Mary the Redeemer Church in Groton.  Their Pro-Life Rep. Barbara Wolk did a great service by speaking before Masses and telling their Congregation that the Pro-Life Movement needs to be carried on by "Families" and thus create a New Pro-Life Generation.

Fr. Brian is grateful to the committee, the parish representatives and all of those prayer warriors who have been praying for these past 40 days."Thank you for all you have done and continue to do - promoting the Pro-Life cause."

The Family Institute of Connecticut is co-sponsoring the 2019 Advocating for Life Conference
9am to 3pm on Saturday, November 2, 2019
Saint Paul Catholic High School in Bristol, CT.

Tickets are only $15 and $5 for students. We will hear from local and national speakers about topics that are active across our state and at the Connecticut legislature. You will learn more about assisted suicide, pregnancy resource centers and local topics that affect the family.

We all know sometimes that we need to speak up! But we can also be unsure about how to proceed or what to say. Now is your chance to be informed. There will be plenty of information about how to advocate on the local and state level. Tickets include lunch and are only $5 for students!

Please know your advocacy will be needed at the State Capitol next year and this conference will help prepare you and your family with facts and skills. You can learn how to write and submit a letter-to-the-editor. We’ll hear from experts on how to lobby your state legislators. Who are your legislators? Do they want to hear from us? What do we do or say? These are all great questions that will be addressed, so please join us on November 2 in Bristol and get your tickets by following the link below . . .

Witnessing Hope — My First March For Life
I signed up to attend the 2025 March for Life in Washington, D.C. Little did I know how great an impact the event would have on me. I had long intended to attend the March for Life but life's demands somehow seemed to get in the way. Thankfully I was able to participate this year. Father Brian Maxwell and I joined the Respect Life Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford. We bused down to D.C., enjoying camaraderie, prayer, and a movie. For someone who generally does not like bus trips, it was enjoyable and went by very quickly. After checking into our hotel...

On Jan. 19, Archbishop Coyne was the main celebrant for a Pro-Life Mass & Baby Shower Collection at St. Mary Church in New Haven, part of Blessed Michael McGivney Parish. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, the Mass provided time for prayer and the chance to donate baby items for the Connecticut Pregnancy Resource Centers. Mary, Gate of Heaven Parish hosted a Mass for Life on Jan. 20 at St. Rober...
