March for Life announces speakers for 52nd annual March for Life

“Life: Why We March which reminds us of the basic truth that every life has inherent human dignity from the start.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The March for Life Education and Defense Fund announced the speakers for the 52nd annual March for Life, taking place on January 24th, 2025. Speakers include Florida Governor Ron DeSantis; Congressman Chris Smith (R-NJ); Bethany Hamilton, professional surfer, mother, and pro-life advocate; Dr. Catherine Wheeler; Josiah Presley, Abortion Survivor; Lila Rose, President of Live Action; Beverly Jacobson, CEO of Mama Bear Care; and Jennie Bradley Lichter, President-Elect of the March for Life.

This year’s theme, ‘Life: Why we March’ focuses on returning to our roots to acknowledge the humanity of each person, while also highlighting the need to protect and support both mother and child through the thousands of resources available to them. Our goal this year is to remind and reignite everyone — politicians, legislators, families, and women – in the truth that every life, unborn and born, has inherent dignity, meaning, and value, and as such is always worth fighting for. Our speakers will serve as witnesses to emphasize the joy and beauty of life and the dedication of the pro-life movement.

“We are overjoyed to welcome these inspiring pro-life leaders at this year’s 52nd March for Life.  For the past 52 years, the March for Life has powerfully witnessed to the tragedy of abortion, while calling for stronger protections for women and the unborn. This year’s speakers will address the 2025 theme—‘Life: Why We March’ which reminds us of the basic truth that every life has inherent human dignity from the start.” Jeanne Mancini, President of March for Life Education and Defense Fund.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the March for Life at this pivotal moment, and I couldn’t be more excited to share the stage this year with dedicated elected officials, pro-life leaders, and other great Americans who will share their testimonies about why they fight for Life.  There is nothing else like the March for Life, and this year’s lineup is a reminder of the enduring strength of our movement.” Jennie Bradley Lichter, President-Elect of March for Life Education and Defense Fund

Witnessing Hope — My First March For Life
I signed up to attend the 2025 March for Life in Washington, D.C. Little did I know how great an impact the event would have on me. I had long intended to attend the March for Life but life's demands somehow seemed to get in the way. Thankfully I was able to participate this year. Father Brian Maxwell and I joined the Respect Life Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford. We bused down to D.C., enjoying camaraderie, prayer, and a movie. For someone who generally does not like bus trips, it was enjoyable and went by very quickly. After checking into our hotel...

2025 Respect Life Masses and Marches Underway
For those who recognize the value of all life, the early months of the year offer many opportunities to publicly declare the sanctity and dignity of every human person. On Jan. 19, Archbishop Coyne was the main celebrant for a Pro-Life Mass & Baby Shower Collection at St. Mary Church in New Haven, part of Blessed Michael McGivney Parish. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, the Mass provided time for prayer and the chance to donate baby items for the Connecticut Pregnancy Resource Centers. Mary, Gate of Heaven Parish hosted a Mass for Life on Jan. 20 at St. Rober...

Nothing is Worth Sacrificing the Life of a Child, Pope Tells World Leaders

He called for global action to protect children, who represent the future of humanity. VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- It is unacceptable that a child's right to life and a dignified childhood should be sacrificed to "the idols" of power, profit, ideology and nationalistic self-interest, Pope Francis told a group of world experts and leaders. "A childhood denied is a silent scream condemning the wrongness of the economic sy...

Jesus Keeps on Loving You, No Matter What
As we approach Lent, please allow me to speak to all who carry the unbearable sadness and guilt of an abortion experience. Be assured that Jesus keeps on loving you, no matter what. The blessed ashes distributed on our foreheads on Ash Wednesday remind us that we are all sinners; broken, imperfect, yet very precious in the eyes of God and so well loved by Him. The ashes are both a reminder of our need for repentance and the graces that flow from our Lord’s death and resurrection. Some stay away from the Church because they fear judgment of past sins. Yet as Pope Franc...
