Diocese Honors Those Dedicated to Education

Mass Will Honor Educators and School Staff

The 24th Annual Diocesan Mass for Those Dedicated to Education will be celebrated on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 8:45 a.m., in the Cathedral of St. Patrick.

The Most Reverend Michael R. Cote, Bishop of Norwich, will celebrate the Mass for all teachers and support staff, public, parochial and private, active and retired, of all faiths.

All are welcome.

Celebrating 15 Years of Honoring Catholic Educators This year will mark the 15th Annual Seton Scholarship Dinner, titled respectively after Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton who is known as a founder of this country’s parochial school system, established this nation’s first all-girls Catholic School in Emmitsburg, Maryland.   On Monday, April 28th, students from the UConn Catholic Center, in conjunction with Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, will lead a Eucharistic Procession through the heart of the University of Connecticut’s campus in Storrs.
