The Norwich Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (NDCCW) would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the overwhelming success of the 46th Annual Layette. The incredible response we received this year truly highlights the generosity and community spirit that define our parishioners and ladies' guilds.
Year after year, the NDCCW has collected and distributed layettes to various beneficiaries including, but not limited to, Poland, the Indian reservations of the Diocese of New Mexico, Birthright of Norwich and New London and even reaching as far as Haiti. Half of the layettes donated have consistently been given to Catholic Charities of the Norwich Diocese, ensuring that local families in need and those adopting through Catholic Charities are supported.
This year's layette collection was remarkable, with an abundance of essential items donated. We received an array of diapers, wipes, formula, and toys, ensuring that many infants will have their immediate needs met. However, it was the handmade contributions that truly touched our hearts and showcased the personal dedication of our community. Beautifully crafted quilts, lovingly crocheted and knitted baby blankets and charming sock dolls were all donated, each piece reflecting the care and love of its maker.
The success of this event would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our parishioners and the ladies' guilds who joined forces with us. Your commitment to this cause and your unwavering support are what make events like these not just successful, but deeply meaningful.
We are already looking forward to next year’s event and hope to see everyone join us once again. Together, we can continue to make a significant difference in the lives of those who need it most. Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication.
