The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra again delivered an uplifting and moving performance for Palm Sunday at the Cathedral of St. Patrick, this time presenting Mozart's "Requiem" and "Lux Aeterna," composed by Eastern Connecticut Symphony Chorus Director Daniel McDavitt.
ECSO Music Director and Conductor, Toshiyuki Shimada was heartened to return to the cathedral, one of his favorite performance spaces.
The orchestra and chorus performed before an audience that almost filled the cathedral, and which included The Most Rev. Michael R. Cote, D.D., Bishop of Norwich.
Featured soloists were Jūratė Švedaitė, Soprano, Caroline O'Dwyer, Mezzo-Soprano, Terrence Fay, Tenor and Gregory Flower, Baritone.
The Edward and Mary Lord Foundation sponsored the concert, and guests made donations to Saint Vincent de Paul Place.
