A Surprise Guest Reads to the Students at St. Joseph in Baltic.

Last week, Bishop Cote and the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Gail Kingston had the pleasure of visiting St. Joseph School in Baltic. It was a heartwarming experience as they joined in the celebration of "Read Across America Month" by engaging with every class in the school. Bishop Cote's dedication to promoting literacy was evident as he took the time to read to each group of students. As a cherished tradition, this visit not only fostered a love for reading but also strengthened the bond between the school and the local community. Student Wins Award for Engineering Smart Football Helmet
A Saint Bernard sophomore won a special award recently for developing a smart helmet aimed at making football safer.   Palmer Noe, a sophomore at Saint Bernard School, entered his project in the Connecticut Science & Engineering Fair and received recognition from the Office of Naval Research – U.S. Navy / U.S. Marine Corps.  “I created an accessible, objective smart helmet that reports head impact data in real time to notify coaches when a player needs to be pulled off the field for the concussion protocol,” Palmer said.
