Catholic Charities Supports Our Veterans - Stand Down Day 2023

The CT Department of Veterans Affairs will be hosting Stand Down Day on September 22, 2023, and Catholic Charities will be a proud participant. The annual event will be held at Easter Seals Rally Point. 24 Stott Avenue in the Norwich Industrial Park, between 8:00 and 2:00pm and the CT Department of Transportation will provide free bus transportation. Please look at the CT Department of VA Affairs website for the bus schedule. One of the goals of Stand Down Day is to provide Veterans access to federal, state, and local nonprofit agencies. Catholic Charities will provide canned goods, assist with SNAP applications, and explain the many services Catholic Charities provides to our Diocese.

If you would like to support this event with a financial donation for food for our veterans, please send a check to Catholic Charities 331 Main Street Norwich, CT 06360, or bring your canned goods to the same address. Mittens or gloves are always a welcome gift to our veterans.
