Of course, God's call is not limited to men for the priesthood; women are called to be Sisters, and men are called to be Brothers.  In Eastern Connecticut, we are blessed to be home to the motherhouse of the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church.  Few Catholics growing up in eastern Connecticut have not been affected in some way by these holy women.  Look through their vocation pages to see personal stories and get an idea of what life at the convent is like.

"The Mount", as Mount St. Mary's Seminary is commonly referred, is the nation's second oldest Catholic seminary, and for the 2010-2011 academic  year, the largest seminary in North America.  Located an hour from Baltimore in rural Emmitsburg, MD,  it is the alma mater of a number of priests in the Diocese of Norwich.
