St. Patrick Cathedral School in Norwich is seeking applicants for a full-time Grade 1 Teacher.

The ideal candidate will:

• Develop lesson plans which meet established school and curriculum guidelines.
• Adapts and reassesses lesson plans to meet specific student needs, comply with newly implemented guidelines or rules, and to update individual lesson plans as needed in conjunction with Special Services.
• Manage the diverse ability levels of students.
• Provide a safe, positive learning environment for students.
• Communicates with all staff members and parents on a regular basis.
• Maintains order and discipline among students while promoting safety and compliance with school rules and guidelines.
• Attends and takes part in school meetings.

The ideal candidate qualifications:

            Education Degree, Qualified Teacher Status, Classroom Management Skills, Lesson Planning, Knowledge of Relevant Teaching Subject Area, Creative Problem-Solving skills, Developed Organizational Skills, Patience, Empathy, Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
