Job Description

St. James School, located in Danielson, CT is actively seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Computer Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.  The ideal candidate will be fluent in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Google classroom while creating an atmosphere that provides a safe learning environment where students can develop 21st-century technology skills while following the Mission of Catholic Education and the curriculum of the Norwich Diocese. This position is flexible with scheduling throughout the week.

Role and Responsibilities

• Appreciation for Christian values and willingness to teach with a faith-based approach.
• Adept at determining students’ strengths and weaknesses and differentiating lessons accordingly.
• Creative lesson plan development and delivery
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Ability to develop lessons across varied grade levels (K-8).
• Creates a safe, productive classroom environment

Preferred Skills

• Fluent in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google classroom
• Minimum of 2 years experience

Compensation

• The position is two days a week for grades K-8, and the salary is $12,500.
