Job Description

St. James School, located in Danielson, CT is actively seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic pre-school teacher.  The ideal candidate will create an atmosphere that provides a safe learning environment where students can develop a love of learning while following the Mission of Catholic Education and the curriculum of the Norwich Diocese.

Role and Responsibilities

• Practicing Catholic, knowledgeable of his/her faith
• Adept at determining students’ strengths and weaknesses and differentiating lessons accordingly.
• Creative lesson plan development and delivery
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Participates in IEP (individual education plan) meetings as scheduled by the school
• Utilizes technology as appropriate to the pre-school classroom
• Creates a safe, productive classroom environment

Early Childhood Certification Required

Preferred Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience
