Job Description

Sacred Heart School, located in Taftville, CT (near Norwich) is looking for a compassionate teacher who will instill the love of learning into the students while following the Diocese of Norwich Curriculum.  The ideal candidate will create an atmosphere that provides a safe learning environment where students can develop a love of learning while following the Mission of Catholic Education and the curriculum of the Norwich Diocese.

Role and Responsibilities

• Practicing Catholic,  knowledgeable in his/her faith
• Excellent Classroom Management Skills
• Works well with faculty and staff; is a team player
• Creates a safe, productive classroom environment
• Utilizes technology when appropriate and is open to growth in using technology
• Participates in IEP (individual education plan) meetings as scheduled by the school
• Implements NWEA Map testing 3 times a year

Bachelor's Degree & CT Certification Required

Preferred Skills

• Minimum of 2 years experience
